branding concept

Shiokcolate

Created August 2021

A hypothetical chocolate brand, Shiokcolate, produced in Singapore with flavours inspired by childhood treats and local delights, it only felt right to use a uniquely Singaporean phrase. Shiok is an exclamation word to describe a feeling of delight due to a positive experience, derived from the Malay language. This experience can be related to good food and also a certain form of relief.

branding concept

chéri

Created June 2017

While in RISD's pre-college graphic design program, I created chéri. A hypothetical lotion brand, chéri aims to remove gender-biased branding. This is reflected in the brand's name, chéri, which means darling in French in the masculine form. Locally produced, Singapore’s national identity is emphasized in the product labels that feature illustrations of prominent buildings and sites in Singapore.
